Hot-Rolled Pickled Temper

U. S. Steel hot-rolled pickled temper rolled sheet is furnished as a mill edge coil that is pickled, temper rolled, oiled and cropped back to gauge. Pickling is the process of removing scale from the hot rolled sheet surface by the action of water solutions and inorganic acids.

Options available to our customers include the ability to specify this product as dry and/or with side trimmed edges. This product is intended for applications that require a clean, uniform surface and good flatness.

Hot-Rolled Pickled Non-Temper

Hot-rolled pickled non-temper rolled sheet is typically manufactured to a specific nominal thickness, but it may also be ordered to minimum thickness. In either case, this sheet product is a mill edge coil that is pickled only and sold on an actual weight basis.

Options are available to specify this product as dry and/or with side trimmed edges. This product is intended for applications that require a clean, uniform surface, good ductility and/or those where flatness is not critical.

Hot-Rolled Non-Pickled Temper

Hot-rolled non-pickled temper rolled sheet is offered as a mill edge coil that is temper rolled dry and cropped back to gauge. Options are available to specify product as oiled or with side trimmed edges. This product is intended for applications where improved flatness is required.

While this product is typically manufactured to a specific nominal thickness, it may also be ordered to a minimum thickness. Hot-rolled non-pickled temper rolled sheet is intended for applications that require improved flatness and surface compared to unprocessed sheet steels.

Hot-Rolled Non-Pickled Non-Temper

Hot-rolled non-pickled non-temper rolled sheet is supplied as a coil directly off the Hot Strip Mill with no additional processing. This product is normally intended for sheet applications where critical surface, edges or flatness are not normally required.

Hot-rolled non-pickled non-temper rolled sheet has an edge that is as rolled off the hot strip mill. This product is intended for applications where critical surface, edges or flatness are not required.
